CPRSW Mission Statement
​The development of this Mission Statement came at a time in 2024 when the International Advisory Board was doubled in size and there was a call for moving beyond capturing the past by beginning to plan for the future by creating a new ICPR Mission and Vision statement.

The current ICPR Mission Statement includes:

Core Value
ICPR promotes inclusion, social justice and change through sustaining social work practice research across sectors and contexts to promote excellent human and social services via collaboration among stakeholders.

Current Initiatives

an international platform for knowledge sharing in the form of biannual International Conferences

a group of Practice Research Collaboratives to promote knowledge development in particular areas of social work practice.

an internationally accessible website to provide information about all ICPRSW activities.

a leadership group in the form of an International Advisory Board that meets quarterly online.

Major Goals
-
Building an evolving definition of practice research based upon the themes that emerged from previous international conferences.

Building an international research agenda based upon the ideas that have emerged from the Practice Research Collaboratives

Updating the 2016 definition of Practice Research to create the 2024 version of the definition.

Increased representation at conferences and on the International Advisory Board from the Global South including countries in Africa, Latin America, Middle East, South and East Asia

Building a pipeline for the advancement of future leaders of practice research, including an institute to educate early career researchers and doctoral students.

Increasing the number of Practice Research Collaboratives
